Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Max Power against Peterborough United.

Power featured for Sunderland in their League One game against Peterborough away from home on Saturday afternoon.

The 26-year-old midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Black Cats lost 3-0.

It was a mixed performance from the former Wigan Athletic man, as although on occasions he played some lovely passes, he also made some bad challenges and gave the ball away far too many times.

Marcus Maddison was the star of the show, as he scored twice for the Posh against the Black Cats.

Jack Ross’s side ended the game with nine men due to the dismissals of Luke O’Nien and Charlie Wyke in the second half.

Ross’s side are now sixth in the League One table with 11 points from six matches, three points behind Ipswich Town.

Sunderland fans were not impressed with the display produced by Power and have criticised him on Twitter.
