Gooch featured for Sunderland in the Championship game against Leeds away from home on Saturday afternoon.
The 22-year-old midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as it ended in a 1-1 draw.
The USA international has made 11 starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Championship for Sunderland so far this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process.
The youngster has been one of the best players for Chris Coleman’s side so far this season and is a very promising midfielder.
With Sunderland set to get relegated to League One at the end of the season, there could be interest from clubs in the Championship in Gooch in the summer transfer window.
