Sunderland had to settle for a draw in their latest Championship fixture.

Sunderland fans took to Twitter after their 1-1 draw with Millwall on Saturday to comment on Ovie Ejaria’s performance as the Liverpool loanee played the full 90 minutes at The Den.

Chris Coleman’s men went into the game against the Lions bottom of the table and looking to win their first game since beating Hull City 1-0 back in January.

It looked as if they may be in with a fantastic chance of ending that wait for a win as Bryan Oviedo gave the Black Cats a surprise lead inside the half-hour with a stunning finish from just outside the box.

However, Millwall would strike with just over 20 minutes to go to keep their recent unbeaten run going and deny Coleman’s side a victory that would have lifted them up to 22nd, two points off safety.

Ejaria’s performance seemed to receive a mixed response. Many of the Sunderland fans who took to social media after the game felt that he looked bright and the side’s inability to use him more often in the second-half was costly.

However, others were not quite as impressed by the Reds loanee’s display – though it must be remembered that it was only his third appearance for the club and players much more experienced than he is have struggled to impress for the Black Cats this term.

Here is the best of the reaction…
