Sunderland fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Lee Cattermole against Ipswich Town.

Cattermole featured for Sunderland in the Championship game against Ipswich at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon.

The 29-year-old defensive midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Chris Coleman’s side lost 2-0.

The defeat to Ipswich means that the Black Cats are now second from bottom in the Championship table with just 25 points from 30 matches, just two points behind 21st-placed Barnsley.

Sunderland are having a torrid season and are in real danger of getting relegated to League One at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Cattermole has been on the books of Sunderland since the summer of 2009 when he joined from Wigan Athletic for a transfer fee reported by The Telegraph to be worth £6 million.
