Sterling, who joined Sunderland on loan from Premier League club Tottenham on January transfer deadline day, was in action for the Black Cats in their League One game against AFC Wimbledon at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon.
The 20-year-old forward did not start the match, but the youngster came on as a substitute on 59 minutes, as Jack Ross’s side won 1-0.
The youngster did well during his time on the pitch, as he showed pace and energy, although it was clear that he is raw and still needs to develop his game.
Sunderland fans were impressed with the performance of Sterling on his debut for the Black Cats.
