The youngster has made 18 starts and two substitute appearances in League One for Sunderland so far this season, scoring 12 goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
Against Rovers on Saturday afternoon, Maja could have done better in terms of attempts and link-up play, but the youngster scored the all-important winning goal.
The win means that Jack Ross’s side are now third in the League One table with 43 points from 20 matches, five points behind leaders Portsmouth, who have played 22 games.
Sunderland fans were pleased with the performance of Maja, but some want the 19-year-old forward to add more to his game.
