Sunderland got another huge win on the board this weekend.

Sunderland have a lot of defenders, but it was still surprising to see two of them line up in front of the back four against Hull City on Saturday.
Whatever some Black Cats fans may think about David Moyes’ decision to select centre-backs further up the field, it worked a treat against the Tigers as Sunderland ran out 3-0 winners.
That was the club’s second successive Premier League victory and ensures they look ahead to the festive period with renewed optimism.
There is still a lot of work to do but Sunderland have now given themselves hope of climbing out of the bottom three this side of Christmas; something that did not seem likely just a few short weeks ago.

While goal-scorers Jermain Defoe and Victor Anichebe took the plaudits, Jason Denayer also deserves plenty of credit for his performance as a holding midfielder.
The loanee was making only his sixth appearance of the season for Sunderland but he did not disappoint.
