Sunderland fans cannot believe that Jack Ross took off Will Grigg against Fleetwood Town last night.

Sunderland were beaten 2-1 by Fleetwood yesterday, as their chances of earning automatic promotion officially were ended.

The Black Cats had a lead in the contest, but when Ross took off Grigg things started to fall apart.

Fleetwood scored two goals late on to take the three points away from Sunderland.

And Black Cats fans were far from impressed by Ross’ tactics during the contest.

Ross is coming under more and more pressure at the Stadium of Light, following Sunderland’s dip in form.

The Black Cats are going to have to earn promotion the hard way, as they are set to compete in the play offs.

Sunderland’s last game of the season comes at the weekend, when they take on relegation threatened Southend United.
