Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion went head-to-head this weekend.
Sunderland fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, with Darren Fletcher and Chris Brunt scoring the first-half goals that ensured it was another bad day for the Black Cats.
The defeat leaves David Moyes’ side rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table and while they are only three points from safety it looks like being three from four when it comes to relegation this season.

One Sunderland player who came in for his fair share of criticism both during and after the match was midfielder Jack Rodwell.
The 25-year-old recently returned to the Sunderland starting line-up after a hamstring injury. However a single point is all the Black Cats have to show from his three outings this month and they will have to do a lot better if they want to remain in the top flight for another year.
