Sunderland fans react to George Honeyman’s performance

George Honeyman was in action for Sunderland against Burton Albion in League One on Saturday.

Sunderland fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of George Honeyman against Burton Albion.

Honeyman featured for Sunderland in their League One match against Burton away from home at the Pirelli Stadium in League One on Saturday afternoon.

The 24-year-old midfielder started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Black Cats lost 2-1.

Jamie Allen and Kyle McFadzean were the goalscorers for the home team, while Chris Maguire found the target for the visiting side.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday afternoon, visitors Sunderland had 57% of the possession, took seven shots of which four were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.

The defeat to Burton means that Jack Ross’s side are now fourth in the League One table with 15 points from eight matches, five points behind leaders Portsmouth.
