The Sunderland loanee made an instant impact for the Quakers.

Sunderland fans are reacting after the young Mackems striker, Andrew Nelson, marked his Darlington debut with a brace.
Nelson scored both of Darlo’s goals – to well-taken finishes over the onrushing goalkeeper – in a 3-2 defeat at Chorley, on what was his debut for the County Durham side he joined on loan last week.
Footage of his exploits was later posted on Twitter by both the player and Sunderland, whose fans had the following to say:

According to the Sunderland Echo, Nelson already has interest from clubs in Leagues One and Two, and some in Scotland’s top two divisions, ahead of the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan to Falkirk – for whom he scored four goals in 12 Scottish Championship appearances – and also had a spell at Hartlepool United, is due back at Sunderland early next month.

His Mackems deal is understood to expire at the end of the campaign.
