Sunderland are reportedly trying to sign Everton winger Aiden McGeady.
Sunderland have completed the signing of Brendan Galloway from Everton on a season-long loan, the club has confirmed. He has become Simon Grayson’s first signing at the Stadium of Light this summer.
The Black Cats are also in talks with Everton over the signing of 31-year-old winger, Aiden McGeady, on a permanent deal.
The former Celtic winger is not in the first team plans of his manager, Ronald Koeman, and he will be allowed to leave the club.

The Northern Echo reported that Sunderland are hoping to conclude the deal as early as within this week.
Grayson has previously worked with McGeady, is keen to be reunited with the Republic of Ireland international.
The Black Cats are looking to complete the deal for around £2 million, while Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie claimed that the Black Cats are in advanced negotiation for McGeady.
