Sunderland were held to a 0-0 draw by Stoke City’s youngsters last night.

Sunderland fans have failed to be impressed by Luke O’Nien, after his performance for them in the Checkatrade Trophy last night.
O’Nien was handed a start in central midfield for Jack Ross’ side against Stoke City’s under-23’s, but he failed to impress.
The former Wycombe Wanderers man has had a difficult time since arriving at the Stadium of Light.
And there are doubts starting to form over his quality from Sunderland fans on Twitter now.
O’Nien looks likely to drop back on to Sunderland’s substitutes’ bench for their league matches.
The youngster did start Sunderland’s first game of the season, but he was hooked at half-time, and hasn’t featured much in the league since.
In his absence, Sunderland have looked strong, and are already among the front runners in League One.
Sunderland are next in action at the weekend when they take on Fleetwood Town.
