Sunderland fans have their say on Lamine Kone’s display.
Sunderland’s Lamine Kone in action with Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy
Sunderland’s inevitable relegation took a step closer last night as they slipped to defeat to Leicester City.
Goals from Islam Slimani and Jamie Vardy gave the reigning champions a 2-0 win, and piled the pressure on David Moyes.
The Sunderland gaffer has inflicted many of his own problems this season, but he has not been helped by star performers from last season letting their performances drop.
One of these is centre-back Lamine Kone, who was outstanding under Sam Allardyce, but looked average this campaign.

Last night he played well in spells, but was completely lost for Slimani’s opener.
It was the kind of critical error which decides games, with Sunderland lacking the strength in attack to recover from them, with confidence low.
Kone recovered to produce a tackle later in the game which denied Slimani scoring Leicester’s third, but by that point the damage was done.
Sunderland fans are far from happy with the team or manager, and voiced doubts over Kone’s commitment.
