Emanuele Giaccherini was loaned out by Sunderland last season.

Sunderland fans on Twitter are urging Sam Allardyce to give Emanuele Giaccherini a chance, after his performances for Italy at Euro 2016.
Giaccherini has struggled to make an impact at Sunderland ever since he signed back in 2013.

The diminutive midfielder was sent out on loan to Bologna last season, but his performances back in his homeland meant that he earned a place in Antonio Conte’s squad at Euro 2016.
Giaccherini then managed to force his way into Italy’s team for the international tournament, and he has been one of their stand out players.
The 31-year-old has been deployed as a wing-back, and he has impressed in every match that he has played.
Sunderland fans believe that Giaccherini should be handed another opportunity to impress at the Stadium of Light, and they have taken to Twitter to say how pleased they have been with his performances for Italy.
Italy went out of Euro 2016 yesterday evening, after losing to Germany on penalties.
Giaccherini still looks set to leave Sunderland this summer, with a number of clubs interested in signing the versatile former Juventus man.
