Sunderland fans have been reacting on Twitter after watching their side pick up a huge point in their battle for survival as they came away from Molineux having secured a goalless draw with Championship leaders Wolves, and it is safe to say that there was a surprising reaction after Darron Gibson’s performance.
The boost in confidence following Chris Coleman’s appointment appeared to be quashed somewhat after they were beaten by Reading at the Stadium of Light last week – and they would not have fancied their chances of picking up a positive result on Saturday.

Wolves are threatening to seal automatic-promotion out of the Championship at a canter, and they went into the game with the Black Cats having won their previous six games.
And while the league leaders certainly had the better of the game, Sunderland managed to secure a point that leaves them just one point and two places off Bolton who sit just outside the relegation zone.
A number of players have been praised by the long-suffering Sunderland supporters on social media, but one player who appears to have received perhaps the most praise was Darron Gibson.
Gibson’s time with the Black Cats has been hugely disappointing to say the least, and his performances have regularly come in for criticism from the supporters.
And while there were still a couple of negative assessments of the former Manchester United man’s display, the overwhelming majority of fans who commented were incredibly impressed by what they saw from the midfielder.
