The young striker has started every game he has been available for so far during his time at the Stadium of Light, but his performance yesterday was poor.
Fletcher was unable to pose a threat, as Sunderland slipped to a 3-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa.
And Black Cats fans have slated Fletcher’s performance and quality on social media website Twitter.
Sunderland badly need Fletcher to start scoring, as they are relying on him to find the back of the net.
The Black Cats are battling against the drop, and currently sit at the bottom of the Championship table.
Sunderland’s heavy defeat against Aston Villa leaves them four points away from safety, with many of their relegation rivals having games in hand over them.
