The Black Cats’ first choice keeper Vito Mannone has recently been ruled out for three months with a elbow injury and David Moyes had been trying to bring in a keeper to challenge Jordan Pickford before the transfer deadline on 31 August.

The Sunderland manager failed in his attempt to sign the former Portugal Under-21s international in time but now the Wearsiders have confirmed the transfer has gone through.
The Black Cats have stated that the 25-year-old keeper has signed a a two year deal at the Stadium of Light, with the former Under-21 international proving himself during two seasons with Boavista.
