Ndong is expected to leave Sunderland this summer.

Champions League side Benfica have reportedly opened talks to sign Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong as the Black Cats look to offload him before the end of the window – and some fans are desperate to see the back of him.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola claim Benfica have begun negotiations over a deal to sign the 24-year-old, who joined Sunderland for a fee believed to be in the region of £14.4million from French club Lorient in August 2016.
Ndong has failed to feature for Sunderland this season as the Black Cats look to sell the Gabon international this summer, along with former Chelsea defender Papy Djilobodji.
It is believed Ndong is earning around £28,000 a week at the Stadium of Light, a figure that Jack Ross’ side will understandably be looking to remove from the wage bill after their relegation to League One.

Ndong’s future at Sunderland has been in doubt since the club’s relegation from the Championship, after an indifferent two-year spell with the Wearside outfit that saw him make 54 appearances up north.
Some Sunderland fans have reacted to the report which suggests Ndong could be on his way to Portugal before August 31, and the majority have responded with delight that he will finally be sold.
