The Celtic winger was reunited with the Sunderland boss, Jack Ross, in January.

Sunderland fans are reacting to Lewis Morgan’s performance at Bristol Rovers, in which the on-loan Celtic winger scored his first Mackems goal.
Morgan was making his seventh Sunderland appearance at the Memorial Stadium, where the visitors secured a 2-0 win to set up a Wembley meeting with Portsmouth in the final of the English Football League Trophy later this month.
And several of a Black Cats persuasion were left impressed by the Celtic-owned players’ contribution.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
Will Grigg scored Sunderland’s opener on the stroke of half-time, before Morgan pounced after Lynden Gooch’s shot was spilled two minutes after the restart.
Morgan played under the Mackems boss, Jack Ross, at St Mirren, who lost the youngster to Celtic last summer.

What the future holds for Morgan remains to be seen, however, given the Bhoys’ uncertain managerial situation.
Former Celtic players Aiden McGeady and Dylan McGeouch were also on show for Sunderland against Bristol Rovers.
