The 29-year-old has worked tirelessly, but the goals haven’t flowed freely for him yet.
Vaughan has just one strike to his name since arriving at Sunderland, and he was guilty of missing a number of opportunities last night.
Sunderland are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Cardiff City at the Stadium of Light.
