Sunderland fans are keen to see Dimitar Berbatov sign on at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland fans appear to be behind the idea of signing Dimitar Berbatov, to strengthen their side.
Berbatov is currently a free agent, meaning he is still available – despite the close of the transfer window.
The former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur man has expressed a desire to play professional football again, following his release from PAOK.
And Berbatov has also hinted that he would like to move back to England, leading Sunderland fans to suggest that he would be a good signing for David Moyes.
Sunderland did not do as much business as they would have liked in the January transfer window, with only three new arrivals being snapped up.
Moyes has admitted that he would have liked to have signed more players, and Sunderland were searching for striker throughout January.
Sunderland attempted to sign Leonardo Ulloa from Leicester City, but were unable to get a deal over the line on deadline day.
And Berbatov could present a good short term fix for Sunderland, as the Black Cats look to beat the drop.
