Maguire looks set to face fierce competition for a place in Sunderland’s squad when all of Jack Ross’ transfer dealings are complete.
However, his initial showings for his new side are sure to have put him in favour.
The forward has looked Sunderland’s biggest attacking threat so far during pre-season.
