Sunderland fans cannot believe Chris Coleman is planning on keeping hold of James Vaughan.

Wales' manager Chris Coleman follows the game from the touchline during the FIFA World Cup 2018 qualification football match between Georgia and Wales in Tbilisi on October 6, 2017.

Sunderland fans cannot believe that Chris Coleman has ruled out the sale of James Vaughan in the Chronicle.

Coleman suggested that his lack of other striking options meant that he simply could not afford to lose Vaughan this month.

However, Sunderland fans feel that Vaughan should be sold, at the first offer, as he is not good enough to play at the Stadium of Light.

Vaughan only signed for Sunderland six months ago, but he has endured a miserable time on Wearside.

The 28-year-old striker has failed to score with any frequency since moving to Sunderland.

Vaughan has just two goals to his name, and has not looked up to scratch since joining.

Vaughan has still been picked regularly for Sunderland though, such is their dearth of striking options.

Coleman is known to be looking for a new forward in January, as he looks to improve his side’s attacking options.
