Sunderland beat Rochdale 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Sunderland strengthened their push for an automatic promotion spot in League One this season by coming from behind to beat Rochdale on Saturday afternoon.
The Black Cats hammered Accrington Stanley in midweek to bounce back perfectly from their Checkatrade Trophy final defeat to Portsmouth, and they picked up another key win.
Rochdale actually took the lead though, as Ian Henderson threatened to give the relegation-threatened Dale a shock win over Jack Ross’s side.
However, Sunderland hit back in the second half, with Charlie Wyke producing a smart turn and finish to draw his side level, before George Honeyman claimed a dramatic late winner for the Black Cats.
With Barnsley losing 3-1 at Burton Albion, Sunderland have now moved level on points with the second-placed Tykes, but have two games in hand over the Yorkshire outfit.
Sunderland are now favourites to claim promotion over Barnsley, and the potential return to form of striker Wyke could be a huge boost for Ross and co in the search for promotion.

The summer signing from Bradford City has struggled for form and fitness this season, but finally bagged his first league goal since the 1st of October after some promising recent displays.
Sunderland fans have now been taking to Twitter to hail Wyke, praising his performance whilst backing him to have a huge part to play in the final weeks of the season, with Sunderland pursuing a return to the Championship.
