Tottenham Hotspur decided to sell youngster Dennis Cirkin to Sunderland on loan – and it seems he is making a huge impression.
Cirkin came through the Tottenham ranks in recent years having moved from Ireland to England as a kid.
Long tipped for a bright future at Tottenham, Cirkin was never really able to make the breakthrough in North London – even though Jose Mourinho was a fan of him.
Tottenham surprisingly sold Cirkin to Sunderland in August, and the youngster is now making an impact on Wearside.
Cirkin impresses for Sunderland
Cirkin started for Sunderland in their 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
The Irishman created the only goal of the game, making a great run up the left flank before finding Carl Winchester to score.
Cirkin later went off injured, but has absolutely made a huge impact in his first few weeks as a Sunderland player.
The 19-year-old also registered an assist against Accrington Stanley earlier this month.

Sunderland fans react
Sunderland fans have been taking to Twitter to react to Cirkin’s performance against Bolton, hailing his display.
Some called Cirkin ‘immense’ and ‘outstanding’, believe Sunderland have found an absolute gem.
Others even suggested that Tottenham were right about how talented Cirkin is – and fear that Tottenham may actually come back in for Cirkin in the future.
