Sunderland want Bradley Dack as Tony Mowbray chases a reunion with the Blackburn Rovers playmaker ahead of the January transfer window.
The Black Cats have made a solid start to their Championship return.
13th place after 19 games is more than respectable, especially after the shock departure of Alex Neil to Stoke City.
Tony Mowbray came in as his replacement and will have one eye on closing the gap the play-off places in the second half of the season.

Sunderland want Bradley Dack
Mowbray will almost certainly want some January signings to bolster his squad and he may end up going for a player he knows very well.
The Sun report that Sunderland are interested in snapping up Blackburn Rovers playmaker Bradley Dack.
It’s stated that Sunderland boss Mowbray wants to reunite with Dack having coached him at Rovers.
Mowbray even hailed Dack as ‘immense’ back in 2019 with the former Gillingham man making a huge impact in the Championship.
Sadly for Dack, injuries have been a major problem in recent years and he has started just 10 Championship games since the end of the 2019-20 season.
It may be time for Dack to go elsewhere and have a fresh start, especially with his Blackburn contract coming to an end next summer.
Blackburn would allegedly like to get Dack’s wages off the payroll and Sunderland may be ready to strike a January deal.
It’s not all that long ago that Dack was being linked with a big Premier League move.
In fact, pundit Paul Merson suggested back in 2018 that Dack was exactly what Newcastle United needed – even if he would cost £20million.
Newcastle never made a move but the 28-year-old could still end up in the North East after all, admittedly for much, much less than £20million.
