Sunderland have signed four players so far, but Simon Grayson anticipates further arrivals.
Sunderland boss Simon Grayson has told The Sunderland Echo that there’s “positive signs” on the transfer front.
The Black Cats kick off their Championship campaign in 12 days with the visit of Derby County on Friday week.

So far, Grayson has signed four players for the Championship outfit, with Brendan Galloway and Ty Browning joining on loan from Everton, while Aiden McGeady and James Vaughan have joined the Stadium of Light club in permanent deals.
Several players have been linked – including Ross McCormack, Tommy Elphick and Lewis Grabban – but the natives are growing restless on Wearside.
However, Grayson, who left Preston North End for Sunderland this summer, revealed to The Echo that there’s “plenty of movement” behind the scenes as he plots one or two new signings soon.
He said: “There’s plenty of movement behind the scenes and we want to get one or two deals done very quickly as it is two weeks until the season starts.
“Believe me, if you had my phone for a day you’d know what it is all about.
“We’re speaking to players, agents, and clubs, there’s positive signs but it is about getting down to the nitty-gritty and getting deals over the line.”
