Sunderland youngster Benji Kimpioka is yet to start a League One match this season.

Kimpioka has broken into Sunderland’s senior squad this season, but he has only been given a handful of appearances to date.
The youngster is yet to start in League One, although he has come off the substitutes’ bench twice, with most his chances coming in cup competition.
However, Ross is not interested in loaning out the promising attacker, as he wants to keep him at Sunderland in a covering role.
And Ross admits that Kimpioka is at a good age, as he is still satisfied that he is progressing right now.
“He is also still fairly young, he is only 18.” Ross said. “If he was a little bit older I think I would maybe pushing that he needs to go out and play but he has racked up a few senior appearances this year.

“I have started to include him more in my group for training on a regular basis because I want to keep progressing him.”
If Sunderland had made Kimpioka available, there would almost certainly have been a number of suitors for him.
The academy graduate has looked promising when he has been given starting opportunities at Sunderland.
The Black Cats are next in action when they take on AFC Wimbledon at the weekend, when Kimpioka may well be involved in the match day squad.
