Sunderland signed Jerome Sinclair on loan from Watford in the summer transfer window.

The Black Cats signed Sinclair on loan from Premier League club Watford in the summer transfer window.
Celtic manager Rodgers worked with the 21-year-old at Liverpool and actually gave the forward his debut for the Reds.
The former England Under-17 international joined Watford in the summer of 2016 after leaving Liverpool, with the Hornets paying the Reds a compensation fee of £4 million for the youngster, as reported by The Chronicle.
Sunderland manager Ross has revealed what Celtic boss Rodgers told him about Sinclair – who earns £20,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com.
Ross told The Chronicle about Sinclair: “I did my homework on him, I spoke to Brendan Rodgers – who gave him his debut at 16 with Liverpool – at length about him, and the way he spoke about him as a person and as a character gave me encouragement that he would be the right fit for here.”

Good signing for Sunderland
Sinclair is a talented and promising young forward who will be a key player for Sunderland as the season progresses.
The Black Cats are aiming for automatic promotion back to the Championship from League One this season, and the 21-year-old will have an important role to play in that quest.
