Didier Ndong has been at Sunderland since the summer of 2016.

Ross has also suggested that he met 29-year-old defender Papy Djilobodji just once, with the Senegal international having recently been dismissed by Sunderland, as announced on the League One club’s official website.
According to The Chronicle, the Black Cats still have to make a decision on the future of Ndong.
The 24-year-old Gabon international – has been on the books of Sunderland since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Lorient for a transfer fee reported by The Chronicle to be worth £13 million – has reportedly refused to report for training since last season.
Ross told The Chronicle: “I only met Papy for the first time and I’ve never met Didier, so it’s been pretty simple for me to be honest.
“I know it sounds a bit cold, but they never came across my path so I never had the opportunity to gauge them, either as individuals or as players.”

Startling revelations
It is quite startling that Ross met Djilobodji just once, and that the Sunderland manager has not even met Ndong, who is still a player for the club.
Ross, though, does not seem to be in need of the duo, as the Black Cats are doing quite well at the moment.
Sunderland are fourth in the League One table at the moment with 15 points from seven matches, four points behind leaders Peterborough United.
