Lewis Morgan, signed on loan from Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on January transfer deadline day, was in action for Sunderland at the weekend.

Morgan, who joined Sunderland on loan from Scottish Premiership club Celtic on January transfer deadline day, featured for the Black Cats in their League One game against AFC Wimbledon at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon.
The 22-year-old winger started the match and played for 83 minutes, as Ross’s side won 1-0.
The Scotland international played well on his competitive debut for the Black Cats, as the youngster showed creativity, confidence and quality.
Sunderland manager Ross was pleased with the performance of Morgan, and believes that the Stadium of Light faithful will have been impressed with the youngster as well.
Ross told The Shields Gazette: ”Lewis was an able deputy and the way it worked, it was brilliant for him to get the opportunity to start the game. He can be pleased and supporters will have seen what he will bring.”

Taking the chance
Morgan is a very good winger who will be looking to make the most of his chances he will get at Sunderland in the coming weeks and months.
The 22-year-old winger needs to play regularly and get his confidence back so that he can establish himself in the Celtic starting lineup next season.
