Sunderland won 3-0 against Hull City at the Stadium of Light in their most recent outing.
Sunderland boss David Moyes has been delighted to see Victor Anichebe hit it off with Jermain Defoe instantly both on and off the field, as per his comments in the Chronicle.
Anichebe and Defoe have scored five goals in Sunderland’s last two matches, which has helped the Black Cats pick up their first victories of the season.

The experienced pair have proven too much for both Bournemouth and Hull City to deal with.
And Moyes feels that the fact that Anichebe and Defoe get on so well off the field, helps them be so effective on it.
“Jermain and Victor have got a good rapport,” Moyes said.
“Victor actually said to him today ‘I can’t believe you’ve scored 150 goals…they’re all rubbish!’. They’ve got that sort of rapport at the moment, they’re having a good go together.”

Anichebe was brought to Sunderland last summer, and it has taken him a while to get up to speed.
However, the powerful forward has made a highly encouraging start to life at the Stadium of Light now.
Anichebe has netted three goals in his first two Sunderland starts, with his strength causing defences no end of problems.
Sunderland are now off the bottom of the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Liverpool at Anfield.
