And after Sunderland were knocked out of the FA Cup by Burnley in midweek, Moyes once again outlined his need for new additions.
“I would love to say it was just a (single) signing, but it is signings,” he stressed.
“If it is not possible we have to get on with it.
Sunderland are not thought to have masses of money to spend, with Martin Bain already confirming that Moyes will have to shop around for bargains.
The Black Cats have stepped up their chase for a few targets recently though, with bids reportedly being made.
Sunderland are thought to have made offers for Norwich City left-back Robbie Brady (Daily Star) and Montpellier midfielder Ryad Boudebouz (The Sun).
Sunderland are next in action at the weekend, when they take on West Bromwich Albion.
