Sunderland striker Ashley Fletcher has still not scored since arriving on loan from Middlesbrough.

Chris Coleman’s comments on Sunderland’s lack of height may just explain why he keeps picking Ashley Fletcher.
Fletcher has endured a miserable time at the Stadium of Light, since arriving on loan from Middlesbrough in the January transfer window.
The young forward is still yet to score from Sunderland, and he has started taking a lot of flak from supporters on social media.

The calls for Coleman to drop Fletcher have grown, but the Welsh boss has always stuck by the loanee when he has been available.
Fletcher has started every game he has been eligible to play in since arriving at Sunderland.
And Coleman’s feeling that Sunderland lack the height to cope from set-pieces, may just give a hint over why he keeps getting selected.
“We’ve got Jonny and George Honeyman (5ft 7in) and in a lot of games you play in the Championship there’s a lot of set-plays,” Coleman said to the Chronicle.

“We can’t always go with certain players because we’re too small, simple as that.”
Fletcher may now get the nod again, as Sunderland prepare to take on Aston Villa this evening.
The 22-year-old is expected to lead the line later tonight, with Sunderland needing three points to get them off the bottom of the Championship table.
