Sunderland were in the hat for round two after their Stadium of Light draw at the weekend, the Black Cats being pegged back after taking a 15th-minute lead.

A number of Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction on the Black Cats’ FA Cup second-round draw.

The Stadium of Light side was in the hat for Monday night’s draw at Oaklands Park after playing out a 1-1 draw with Gillingham at the weekend.

Should Sunderland overcome the Gills next week, they will face either AFC Wimbledon or Doncaster Rovers at the Stadium of Light over the weekend of November 30.

The Dons, who knocked out West Ham a year ago en route to the fifth round, led when Joe Pigott nodded home Luke O’Neill’s delivery shortly before the break in their game.

Rovers, however, regained parity – and secured a replay at the Keepmoat – through Tom Anderson, rising highest in a crowded penalty area to meet Danny Amos’ corner after 63 minutes.

Here is what some Black Cats fans made of their prospective next cup opponents on social media:

Sunderland have never previously met AFC Wimbledon, who were founded in 2002, in this competition, while their only previous FA Cup meeting with Doncaster came in the third round at Roker Park in 1954, won by the South Yorkshire side (Chronicle Live).
