Liverpool lost a ding-dong FA Cup tie on Sunday night.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were eliminated from the competition at the fourth round by Manchester United, who secured a 3-2 victory at Old Trafford.
There’s a hell of a lot of talking points, from goals to potential red cards, but some fans on Twitter spotted something a little bizarre during the first half.
Liverpool took an 18th-minute lead through Mo Salah but it was cancelled out by Mason Greenwood later in the half.
And television replays appeared to show the Reds’ left-back Andy Robertson shouting at the young Red Devil just before the goal, in an apparent effort to put him off.
Liverpool have been hugely successful in recent years, winning the Champions League and Premier League inside 13 months of each other.
But some of their players evidently dabble in the dark arts despite their collective brilliance.
And here’s how some fans reacted to Robertson’s perceived gamesmanship on Twitter tonight:
Bruno Fernandes, as he so often does, had the final say, firing a brilliant free kick past Alisson in the final quarter for what turned out to be the goal that ultimately downed Liverpool.
