Football.London have raved about Arsenal central defender William Saliba and believe that the France international has been superb for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this season.
The website’s Arsenal writer, Kaya Kaynak, has rated Saliba’s performance so far this campaign 9 out of 10.
Kaynak wrote about Saliba in Football.London: “The Saliba wars will probably go down as one of the stranger episodes of Arsenal Twitter’s long and distinguished history, but so far the Frenchman has proved that he was worth all the fuss.
“There are very few players at his age who would be able to take to the Premier League with such swan-like elegance, and everything Saliba does oozes composure.
“He is already world class on the ball, and has shown that when it comes to one-vs-one defending he has the pace, physicality and intelligence to deal with pretty much any opponent.
“On top of that he’s added goals to his game and is a threat from set pieces. It speaks volumes that tying him down to a new contract has moved straight to the top of Arsenal’s to-do list.”
William Saliba is an Arsenal gem
In our view, Arsenal central defender William Saliba has been excellent so far this season.
The 21-year-old defender has established himself as a regular in the Gunners’ first team and has played well alongside Gabriel at the heart of the team’s defence.
Saliba has been so good that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been playing England international centre-back Ben White at right-back.
Now, of course, we should not forget that Saliba is only 21, so it is likely that he will make mistakes from time to time.
All players, both young and experienced, do.
So, when Saliba makes mistakes, Arsenal fans have to support him and allow him room to grow and develop.
Saliba has scored two goals and given one assist in seven Premier League appearances for Arsenal so far this season.
For Arsenal to be successful this season, both in the Premier League and in the UEFA Europa League, Saliba will have to be on top of his game.
