Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours that West Ham are looking to terminate Jack Wilshere’s contract.

talkSPORT have claimed that the Hammers are looking to axe Wilshere this summer and are in talks with the player to terminate his contract after another two seasons of injury problems.

A selection of Arsenal fans have expressed how sorry they feel for the 28-year-old, who hasn’t had a break when it comes to trying to stay away from the treatment room.

Wilshere moved to the London Stadium from Arsenal in 2018 and he now has one-year remaining on his current deal.

Even though he has been ready and fit for a long while now, he clearly isn’t part of David Moyes’ plans and his future is now seemingly looking bleak – he wasn’t part of the West Ham squad that were beaten by Newcastle yesterday.

Wilshere produced his best football in front of the Arsenal faithful and they clearly have remembered the entertainment he provided them.

Arsenal’s record transfer deals

  1. Nicolas Pepe

    £72 million

  2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

    £56 million

  3. Alexandre Lacazette

    £52 million

  4. Thomas Partey

    45 million

  5. Mesut Ozil

    £42 million

From that performance against Barcelona in the Champions League as a teenager to one of the most sublime team goals against Norwich.

If Wilshere does leave East London this summer, it will be interesting to see where he ends up because it would be a risk taking him on.

Perhaps the Championship is the place for the ex-England man to earn regular game time again, but if another Premier League club comes knocking then it’ll be hard to turn that down.

Here is a selection of Arsenal fans reacting to Wilshere potentially heading for an early exit at West Ham:
