Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to react after Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp commented on Manchester City and injuries.
As quoted by the BBC, the German said: “This year, with the amount of injuries we have had, it was not the year to become champions.
“No chance. For nobody. As good as they are, if Manchester City have their three centre-halves out, no (they don’t win the Premier League).”
Now, this hasn’t gone down too well amongst the Manchester City fans.
We’re not too sure why, as it didn’t seem like Klopp said anything out of line.
In our view, he is – however – wrong.
Manchester City could certainly win the Premier League title if they were missing their three first-choice centre-backs.

If Pep Guardiola lost Rúben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and John Stones like Liverpool lost Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joël Matip, we don’t believe it would have the same impact.
Why? Well, Klopp – who earns £192,307-a-week – has had to turn to the likes of Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips, while also playing midfielders in defence.
In Guardiola’s case, he could’ve turned to his £40 million man Nathan Aké and paired him alongside Eric García, and there’s a strong chance Manchester City still would’ve won the title.

If the inexperienced García looked a bit out of his depth, then the Citizens could also put Kyle Walker at centre-back, with João Cancelo at right-back.
Manchester City’s strength in depth is extraordinary, so Klopp is wrong to think that losing three centre-backs would impact on them too heavily.
Nevertheless, let’s see what the Manchester City fans on Twitter have been saying about his comments…
