Daniel Sturridge has given his verdict on Jude Bellingham on his Instagram when discussing the outcomes of Group A and Group B – and says the Liverpool target is already “world class”, following his “sensational” display against Iran.
Bellingham, 19, opened his England account on Monday with a perfectly-placed header. It was not only his first in an England shirt, but the first for the Three Lions at the World Cup. Gareth Southgate’s men went on to beat Iran 6-2.
His performance comes as no surprise to those who are avid watchers of both Dortmund, and England. The young midfielder is already being touted as one of the best, if not the best teenage talent on the planet at this moment.
The Telegraph report this week that Liverpool are set to enter a bidding war to sign Bellingham from Dortmund. Most likely, next summer. Sturridge, somewhat of a Reds icon, gave his verdict on his old club’s transfer target on Instagram.
“England have got some world-class players. Bellingham is looking absolutely sensational, delightful, every superlative I could say, he’s that,” Sturridge said on his post, predicting England to win Group B, and USA to come second.

Sturridge gives verdict on Liverpool target Bellingham
There is little chance Liverpool will sign Bellingham if they fail to get into the top four. The Reds also need to start saving some cash and that could start in January – selling some of their unused players. Three are on the transfer list.
CM reports that the club will look to sell Nat Phillips, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. All of which make sense, the latter two are out of contract in the summer and Phillips is fifth choice. That will help contribute.
But after the World Cup, judging by the way Bellingham is performing, he could be worth far more than the touted £100million. Liverpool have their work cut out if they are going to get him ahead of Manchester City or Real Madrid.
