Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Dennis Cirkin completed a permanent move to Sunderland.
What’s the story?
Well, the Tottenham fans are visibly livid about this deal.
The 19-year-old has signed a three-year contract at the Stadium of Light, having progressed through the youth ranks in N17.
Cirkin is clearly a highly rated prospect at Tottenham, as the supporters are furious to see he’s been sold.
The teenager revealed in his first interview with the Black Cats that it was a no brainer to move to Wearside, where he’ll taste first-team football.
Tottenham fans might be sad, but with Sergio Reguilon and Ryan Sessegnon in the pecking order at left-back, Cirkin’s chances of game time were slim.
Tottenham’s loss is Sunderland’s gain

In our view, Cirkin will add another dimension to Sunderland’s left flank – he’s an extremely attack-minded defender.
He scored seven goals from left-back at Under-16 level during the 2017/18 campaign, and is a player who possesses great technical ability.
Lee Johnson is clearly aware of the importance of full-backs in the modern game.

Just look at how Jürgen Klopp focuses Liverpool’s game around Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
With Cirkin whipping crosses into the box, expect plenty of headed goals at the Stadium of Light this season – what a signing for the Black Cats.
For now, let’s see how the Tottenham fans on Twitter reacted to the club’s announcement…
