Antonio Conte drew a monstrous response from his Tottenham Hotspur players away at Leeds United this afternoon.

Tottenham went to Elland Road on the back of four Premier League defeats in five outings.

The Italian manager gave an explosive interview after a shock midweek defeat at Burnley, days after Spurs’ stunning 3-2 victory away to Manchester City.

With Leeds losing 6-0 in midweek, there was a chance for the North Londoners – who are chasing Champions League qualification – to make a major statement in West Yorkshire.

And indeed they certainly did.

Conte’s side produced a blistering first-half performance away to Leeds, scoring three goals without response during the opening 45 minutes.

However, it could’ve been very different had Pascal Struijk opened the scoring within the opening three minutes, but his header glanced narrowly wide.

The chance came after Dejan Kulusevski – who scored Spurs’ second goal – conceded a needless free kick.

And Graham Roberts has said on Twitter that it was ‘stupid’ of the Juventus loanee.

Apparent stupidity aside, this was Kulusevski’s second Premier League goal, having also scored in the win at Eastlands last Saturday.

And given that he wasn’t even Tottenham’s first-choice signing for this position, well he’s turning out to be a cracking find.
