Gary Lineker raved about Liverpool and England international right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold on Twitter while watching him in action against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Boxing Day.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool got the better of Unai Emery’s Aston Villa 3-1 away from home in the Premier League on Monday.
Alexander-Arnold was involved in the first goal for the Reds.
It came in the fifth minute when Egypt international forward Mohamed Salah found the back of the target.
Scotland international left-back Andy Robertson provided the assist.
However, it was England international right-back Alexander-Arnold’s audacious outside-of-the-foot pass to Robertson that was the main talking point of the goal.
And former Tottenham Hotspur striker and BBC Match of the Day presenter Lineker was impressed, as you can see below.

World-class
In our opinion, Liverpool and England international right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is a world-class player.
Nevemind that Alexander-Arnold is only 24, he has already shown what he is capable of.
Yes, the Englishman can still improve his game, especially defensively, but no one can doubt that he is one of the best right-backs on the planet at the moment.
There is every chance that Alexander-Arnold will become better in the coming years.
And that is scary.
