Bryson DeChambeau opened up with a round of one-under par 70 on day one of LIV Golf Andalucia.
DeChambeau is sitting three strokes adrift of the leaders, Scott Vincent and Tyrrell Hatton, with 54 holes still to play at LIV Golf Andalucia.
The 32-year-old has actually been in fine form on LIV Golf this season, with two wins to his name.
However, Bryson DeChambeau has struggled away from LIV Golf, missing the cut in both major championships so far this year.

The American is fighting back from those two disappointing performances, though. DeChambeau enjoyed a solid tournament at LIV Korea last week, and now he’ll be looking to record his third win of the season this week in Spain.
He actually played some really good golf at times on day one at Valderrama. However, the two-time U.S. Open champion was genuinely stunned by something that happened midway through his round.
Bryson DeChambeau comments on ‘weird’ occurrence at LIV Golf Andalucia
DeChambeau addressed the media on Thursday evening, after finishing up his opening round at Valderrama.
And the American responded when asked to explain what happened when he accidentally snapped his wedge in the 12th fairway.
“I had some weird things happen,“ the LIV Golf star said.
“I don’t know what happened. I was walking down the 12th hole with a wedge in my hand, and I put it on the toe.

“You’re going to put pressure on it as you’re walking down, trying to — like a cane, in a sense, and the head just snapped on me. The shaft snapped and that was the first time that’s happened in a long time.
“The only one I can remember was Harding Park, PGA Championship, same thing happened with the driver. I just went down to go tee it up and it snapped on me, as well.
“It happens, but that was a weird one. I don’t know how to explain it. It cost me a shot. I shouldn’t have been there in the first place, but getting up-and-down with a 55-degree out of a downhill lie downslope made it a lot more difficult.“
Bryson DeChambeau gives his honest verdict on Valderrama
DeChambeau responded when asked by reporters after his round to share his true feelings about Valderrama as a golf course.
“Yeah, it’s a mystifying golf course, that’s for sure,“ DeChambeau admitted.
“There’s a lot of times where you’re just hoping. You hit great shots, and they’re just going to not be rewarded at some points in time out here. It’s a great test of golf.
“Us Crushers love these tough tests of golf, and I think it showed again today. There’s a lot of golf left still. Can’t be missing those putts like that out there on 18.
“But all in all, I was proud of the way I fought.“
DeChambeau will have to keep fighting hard this week, if he is to win LIV Golf Andalucia, with Valderrama providing one of the toughest tests in professional golf, as it always does.
