West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to react after David Moyes revealed that the Premier League admitted they made a number of mistakes.

What’s the story?

Well, the Scot was speaking ahead of West Ham’s Carabao Cup Quarter-final clash with Tottenham tomorrow.

As quoted by The Athletic, Moyes said: “We have got clarification from the referees that it was the wrong decision to send (Coufal) off and that we should have had a penalty at Burnley. I find it really hard that we have two sets of eyes and they are not getting it correct.”

That’s not much use to West Ham now, is it?

In truth, it would be less antagonising for the Premier League to just stick by their mistake and continue to blindly go along with it.

Owning up to an error, only for there to be no way of changing it, just adds insult to injury – talk about pouring salt on the wound.

Now, the Hammers are without one of their best players for a massive game, all thanks to the Premier League’s incompetence.

If the Irons are knocked out of the Carabao Cup by another refereeing mistake, don’t be surprised to see Moyes lose it.

West Ham and David Moyes should be livid

The use of VAR in the Premier League is no longer a new thing, and there are no excuses for the sheer volumes of errors we’re still seeing.

As this point, it’s quite obvious that it’s the people in charge who aren’t sure what they’re doing, rather than the absence of any technology.

Simply put, the Premier League should not be holding their hands up and owning up to mistakes with 2022 just days away – there shouldn’t be any errors to apologise for.

If we continue to see such a circus, then VAR should be scrapped.

The constant stoppages caused by VAR are only made worthwhile if the right decision is made, so if we’re still seeing issues, you have to question what the point of it is.

For now, let’s see what the West Ham fans on Twitter have been saying about the Premier League’s admission…
