West Ham United boss David Moyes is only on a short-term contract at the London Stadium.

Radio pundit Stuart Pearce looks on prior to the Barclays Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United at White Hart Lane on April 10, 2016 in London, England.

Stuart Pearce has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 4th March, that David Moyes could yet stay with West Ham United.

Pearce is part of Moyes’ backroom staff, but their future at the London Stadium is currently unclear.

Moyes was hired on a short-term contract, with West Ham set to assess whether to keep him on for a longer period at the end of the season.

The Scottish boss has made some impact at the Hammers since taking charge, and looks set to keep them up.

And Pearce has suggested that it is now possible that he could be at West Ham next term.

Pearce said: “I think it’s a possibility, there’s no doubt about that. But that will be down to the owners, and it’ll be down to David as well.

“David has come in and one or two people outside or profession were doubting his desire and ability as a manager, but he’s managed for 20 years and been a fantastic manager. You don’t lose that quickly. He’s one of the outstanding managers. It’s been wonderful to work underneath him.”

Moyes took charge of West Ham at a time when the London side were really struggling.

The Hammers have never truly escaped relegation trouble, but they look likely to stay up now.

West Ham beat Southampton last weekend, to take a giant step towards survival.

Moyes’ side are currently in 14th place in the Premier League table, five points above the relegation zone.
