West Ham United are currently in 15th place in the Premier League table.

Stuart Pearce has told Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 27th October, that he believes West Ham United will finish in mid-table this season.

The Hammers started the new campaign in woeful fashion, and they were hovering just above the relegation zone.

However, West Ham have now won their last three matches in all competitions to raise optimism around the London Stadium.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic

Slaven Bilic was, at one stage, the bookies’ favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked, but there is far less pressure on him now.

Bilic, himself, has publicly stated that he is optimistic about West Ham’s future for the rest of the season.

But Pearce feels that a mid-table finish may be as good as the Hammers can achieve this term.

“It’s too much for them to get in the top six,” Pearce said, when asked whether West Ham could qualify for Europe.

“I don’t see enough in their general play to suggest they’ll get in the top six. But they’ll be comfortable in mid-table.”

West Ham’s won 2-1 in their latest match against Chelsea in the EFL Cup.

Bilic’s side will take on Everton at Goodison Park in their next Premier League fixture.
