Newcastle United are currently top of the Championship, and have won their last seven matches.
Stuart Pearce has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 3rd November, that Newcastle United’s form will drop off this season.
Newcastle are currently leading the way in the Championship, after a wonderful run of results.
The Magpies have won their last seven games in a row across all competitions to accelerate up the Championship standings.
However, Pearce does not expect Newcastle to have things all their own way for the whole of the season.

“They’ll have a downturn,” Pearce said. “That happens in the Championship. 46 games, you’ll never have it all your own way.
“They will take some stopping and they will be in the top four. “We think they’ll be in the top two, but Norwich have a squad which can stay with them.”
Newcastle have swept all before them recently, with some of their recent results being particularly eye catching.

Newcastle have thumped both Preston North End and Queens Park Rangers 6-0, and they have also comfortably beaten the likes of Ipswich Town and Brentford.
Newcastle are already three points clear of their nearest rivals, Brighton & Hove Albion, with many of their promotion challengers struggling to keep pace.
Newcastle are next in action at the weekend, when they take on an improving Cardiff City at St. James’ Park.
