Everton attacker Richarlison has scored 13 goals and leads the scoring charts at Goodison Park this season.

Stuart Pearce has told The Debate, which was broadcast on Sky Sports on 25th April, that Richarlison has looked low on confidence at Everton at times this season.

Everton paid big money to bring Richarlison to Goodison Park in the summer, but he has quickly repaid their faith.

The Brazilian is currently Everton’s joint top scorer, with 13 goals to his name.

But Pearce feels that Richarlison could yet become even more consistent with his performances.

Pearce said: “I think he can be very good. He just struggled for confidence at times this year. He had an up and down year. But you have to bear in mind that Everton have spent £150 million in the transfer market.

“They still need to add to that but Richarlison needs to do well for the club. He could be that player for Everton who gets them 15 to 20 goals.”

Richarlison could well reach the 15 goal target before the end of this season, if he keeps up his current form.

The 21-year-old has hit three goals in his last six games for Everton, including an excellent overhead kick against Manchester United.

Everton have three games left to play this term, against Crystal Palace, Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur.
